Does Everyone in Your Business Need to Believe in Your Vision?

Does Everyone in Your Business Need to Believe in Your Vision?

You cannot make everyone see your vision exactly the way you do.

And they don’t have to.

If someone owns your vision 100% exactly as you do, then they probably should be the owner of the business.

What matters is finding where their goals and your business goals meet.

Think of someone travelling to Lagos. You are going to Lagos too, so they join you along the way. Lagos may not be their final destination, but for part of the journey, you are both going in the same direction.

Business can be the same.

People will join your journey at different points. Some may stay for years. Some may eventually move on.

Your job is not to make everyone own your vision.

Your job is to help them see where they fit into it and create a mission you can achieve together.

That is how you build a team that moves with the business not because they have your exact vision, but because they can see value in the journey.
